Rosie Oakley Director, Event Management
The director of one of the country’s premier annual conferences for the special needs community since 2009, Rosie’s experience in event management encompasses everything from recruiting sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and attendees, to negotiating all venue and vendor contracts, to overseeing all on-site personnel and activities. She’s a big picture manager and a stickler for details.
Rosie’s career began at the Associated Press Broadcast Division in Atlanta and Washington, DC, where she started in regional sales and became the Director of National Broadcast Sales, responsible for a team of 30 representatives across the U.S.
Later, she founded an executive recruiting company, Media Executive Resources, specializing in broadcast sales and sales management positions. Rosie graduated from George Mason University with a degree in English.
